She has been practicing pulmonary medicine in tertiary care centres for more than 6 years. In the initial years, her practice was more of a mixed bag of pulmonary medicine cases and procedures. During the COVID years, she was involved as the admitting physician or consulting on the management of more than 200 COVID patients, including those in critical care. Recently, she has been focusing more on Allergy and Asthma since it is one of the most common illnesses yet widely misunderstood and under-treated. She has been able to bring a considerable difference in handling such cases through simple interventions, patient education, and training the supporting staff in her department to improve communication with the patient. This has allowed for the development of treatment protocols that work for individual patients. During these years, she has undertaken various community outreach programs and disease awareness camps for patients and training programs for health care workers, including physicians, nursing professionals, and others, on the management of various respiratory diseases and care optimization.
